SIX SCENES. ONE PLACE
On View September 5, 2026 through May 22, 2027
Six Scenes, One Place: The Story of Gloucester explores hundreds of years of Gloucester’s history through art.
Inspired by Michael Rosato’s new Main Street mural, the exhibition brings six defining scenes to life through historic artifacts, photographs, artwork, and objects drawn from collections throughout the community.
From Gloucester’s earliest inhabitants and colonial history to its working waterfront and enduring daffodil tradition, each scene reveals another layer of the people, places, and events that shaped the county.
Together, the mural and exhibition offer a new way to experience Gloucester’s story, connecting the art of today with the history of the place we call home.
